Welcoming Amar Barn to the Carpenter Surveyors team

Welcoming Amar Barn to the Carpenter Surveyors team!

We’re delighted to welcome Amar Barn as the newest Residential Surveyor at Carpenter Surveyors.

Amar brings with him a truly well-rounded background in the property industry. After earning his LLB Law (Hons) degree and qualifying as a property lawyer, he began his career in conveyancing before moving into property sales, where he specialised in the off-plan market.

It was during the Covid period that Amar discovered his passion for surveying, a path that led him to GB Home Surveys, where he spent the past two and a half years developing his skills and experience.

Now a qualified AssocRICS Surveyor and Registered Valuer, Amar joins us with a rare 360-degree perspective on property, having worked across conveyancing, sales, and surveying, a combination that gives him deep insight into the full client journey.

Ian Bullock - Managing Director of Carpetner Surveyors said:

"We're delighted to welcome Amar to the team. It's incredibly rare to find a surveyor with such a comprehensive understanding of the entire property lifecycle, from the legalities of conveyancing to the nuances of sales. This 360-degree perspective is a tremendous asset, and it will directly translate into a richer, more insightful service for our clients. Amar's drive and unique expertise are a perfect fit for Carpenter Surveyors.”

Speaking about his move to Carpenter Surveyors, Amar said:

“I’ve known about Carpenter Surveyors for years, being a Brummie myself, I used to see Ian, our MD, picking up keys from estate agents when I worked in that world. Carpenter Surveyors has always stood out as a well-established firm with a great reputation, so it feels fantastic to now be part of the team.”

Outside of work, Amar is a professional drummer and has been performing at weddings and events across the UK and internationally for over 15 years. Music plays a huge role in his life, one of his proudest moments was performing on the main stage to help close the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

We’re thrilled to have Amar on board and look forward to the energy, insight, and expertise he’ll bring to the Carpenter Surveyors team.
